Monarch is one of the first set of six images that I released as Digital Original Prints back in 2004. These limited editions mark the beginning of The Newspaper Series.

This transition from traditional to digital printmaking was not without obstacles. After years of research and experimentation, I discovered that digital was unacceptable to most organizations and competitions. Regardless, after coming to realization of its potential, there was no turning back for me.

Thankfully with time passing, digital has earn its place alongside traditional Original Printmaking.

These images were printed with archival ink on Velvet Fine Art Paper, then mounted on Fine Rag Heavyweight Paper, signed and numbered according to the "Ethics of Original Printmaking" and presented with a Certificate of Authenticity. 

While the series was numbered as a limited of edition of 50, only a few copies have actually been printed, and it is more than likely that no other copies will ever be printed.
