Although part of the Tiny Tile series, Kismet is slightly different as the tiles are a collage of tiny pieces.

After the making of Cradle & Specks and Fragments, I was still left with a few sheets of test runs that I was not willing to leave behind. So for my next trial, I decided to break those down into small squares and see what could come of them. To override the impossible task of making choices, I turn the sheets over and let random take over.

Thus, I was left with over a 100 tiny squares ready to become anything I wished. My first attempt was to combine them in a two piece work titled "The Menagerie", where the squares could be reorganized to create different dynamics of colors and lines. But I decided to instead, provide each square with a space of their own, where they could shine individually rather then just blend in.

Prepped and ready for their new destiny, the squares, by then coined "Tile" by a dear friend who had witnessed the long process of the making, became the "Tiny Tiles".
